Effective Treatment for Excess Fat and Cellulite – A Non-Surgical Liposuction Alternative

Ultrasonic liposuction helps reduce fat tissue and allows for a decrease in circumference by several centimeters. The procedure is recommended for individuals struggling with localized fat deposits, typically found on the thighs, abdomen, hips, arms, flanks (so-called “love handles”), and calves, when an active lifestyle and diet do not produce satisfactory results. The therapy removes subcutaneous fat non-invasively, without pain or effort.
The device’s head emits low-frequency ultrasound waves that reach the fat cells. The result is the permanent destruction of fat cells on the treated area. Visible results are noticeable after the first session. With each subsequent treatment, skin condition improves, becoming more firm. The skin’s texture also improves. In the case of cellulite reduction, patients notice a significant smoothing of the skin surface even after the first treatment.

How Many Treatments Are Needed?

For optimal results, a series of treatments is recommended – the treatment plan is tailored individually depending on the overall condition of the skin and the depth of the changes. Typically, this consists of 4 to 6 treatments at approximately 7-day intervals; cellulite reduction may require increasing the number of sessions to 8-10. The results of body contouring with ultrasound are maintained as long as a healthy lifestyle is followed: regular physical activity and an appropriate diet. Fat tissue will not spontaneously regenerate in the treated area if body weight is kept stable.

Ultrasonic Liposuction – Indications for Treatment

  • body contouring: achieving a slim and toned figure
  • skin firming and smoothing
  • elimination of cellulite, reduction of deep cellulite (all stages)
  • permanent removal of fat tissue
  • treatment of localized obesity
  • improvement of skin tone and texture
  • restoring a slim figure post-pregnancy

Ultrasonic liposuction targets specific areas of the body such as:

  • arms
  • calves
  • thigh circumference
  • buttocks
  • hips and abdominal area

Men struggling with excess stubborn fat around the abdomen also opt for non-surgical localized liposuction.

Ultrasonic Liposuction – Procedure Overview

The therapy begins with a qualifying consultation during which photos are taken for medical documentation, allowing for a comparison of the pre-treatment condition and post-treatment results. The skin does not require special preparation other than cleansing from cosmetics and creams. The device’s head suctions a skin fold, onto which ultrasonic waves are emitted, targeting fat tissue. The waves only affect the skin fold without endangering internal organs, blood vessels, or nerves.

Two emitters angled towards each other emit ultrasonic waves that overlap – the concentration in fat cells increases fourfold. Thanks to cavitation – the breakdown and liquefaction of fat cells – unwanted lipid cells migrate to the lymphatic vessels and liver, where they are metabolized.

The procedure is accompanied by an intense warmth in the area treated with the device head, as the emitted waves heat the skin to just over 40°C (104°F). The treatment is completely safe and painless, with each session lasting about 1 to 1.5 hours.

A few minutes of lymphatic drainage combined with massage stimulates lymphatic circulation and accelerates the removal of liquefied fat cells – this is a regular part of the treatment, which should be repeated for 3-4 days after each session. Immediately after the treatment, the patient can return to daily activities. The skin may appear red for about an hour post-treatment – this is a natural effect of the ultrasound and should not cause discomfort.

Post-Treatment Care

Post-treatment recommendations include incorporating moderate physical activity into daily routines, maintaining a low-fat diet, and staying well-hydrated. For 3 days after the procedure, avoid saunas and hot baths; short showers are preferable. Alcohol consumption should also be avoided for 3 days after the procedure.

Contraindications

  • diabetes
  • pregnancy and breastfeeding
  • cancer
  • inflammatory conditions
  • phlebitis, vascular diseases, and heart conditions
  • vascular and skin conditions
  • metal prostheses and implants in the treatment area (including IUDs, micro hearing aids), pacemaker
  • fat metabolism disorders
  • liver or kidney failure

The procedure is safe for skin with vascular issues. Tanned skin does not interfere with the treatment. The therapy can target any area of the body except for the face and neck. The procedure effectively treats cellulite at all stages of severity and can be performed regardless of the season.

Results

The results of body contouring with ultrasound are visible immediately after the treatment and last as long as body weight remains stable. Fat cells are liquefied, leading to cellulite reduction (all stages) and a decrease in fat tissue volume in the treated area.
