Prenatal Testing in Wroclaw, Poland
Fetal Ultrasound and Biochemical Screening
Proper medical care is crucial from the very earliest stages of life. A fetal ultrasound is a non-invasive examination and therefore completely safe.
Gynecological ultrasound can assess the age of the fetus and reveal most developmental abnormalities. Many young women may not realize that early detection of potential genetic disorders significantly reduces postnatal complications and facilitates the selection of an appropriate treatment plan. An accurate diagnosis greatly increases the chances of a successful pregnancy outcome.
We perform ultrasounds during:
- First trimester – between 11 and 13 weeks + 6 days of pregnancy
- Second trimester – between 18 and 22 weeks of pregnancy
- Third trimester – this ultrasound assesses fetal growth and re-evaluates fetal anatomy if there were any prior concerns
Biochemical Screening
The biochemical screenings we offer aim to determine the levels of HCG, which is naturally produced by the mother’s placenta during pregnancy, and PAPP-A, allowing for higher diagnostic accuracy in detecting genetic disorders involving chromosomes 21, 18, and 13 (Down syndrome, Edwards syndrome, and Patau syndrome).
Pregnancy Care
We offer professional care for women planning motherhood, during pregnancy, and postpartum.
